Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Eigencards app and website. By using Eigencards, you agree to them.
1. The service
Eigencards is a spaced-repetition study app for data science, ML, and AI. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own learning. The free tier is available without an account; some features require an Eigencards Pro subscription.
2. Subscriptions & billing
- Eigencards Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID.
- A free trial, if offered, automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Prices may change; we'll give notice as required, and price changes don't affect the period you've already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
3. Free tier, sprints & ads
The free tier meters how many study/Arena sprints you can run in a window. When you run out, you can watch a short rewarded ad for another sprint or subscribe to remove ads and the limit. Domain unlocks on the free tier are earned through use, as described in the app.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer it; no abusing the card-flagging system; no using it unlawfully. We may rate-limit or suspend access to protect the service and other users.
5. Content & accuracy
Eigencards is an educational tool. We work hard to keep cards accurate and source-validated and to repair flagged cards quickly, but we provide the content "as is" and don't warrant it is error-free or suitable for any particular purpose (including exams, certifications, or professional decisions). Use your judgment.
6. Intellectual property
The app, the card content, the EigenScore methodology, the mascots, and the Eigencards name and branding are owned by us and protected by law. These terms don't transfer any of those rights to you.
7. Termination
You may stop using Eigencards at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or to comply with the law. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eigencards is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; we'll post changes here and update the date above. Continuing to use Eigencards after a change means you accept it.
